Our Code

The members of Team Chlorophyll all have one obvious thing in common, they are very passionate about data science.
They want to be able to use data to change the world as we know it, and with this project, they hope to be able to do just that.
The following section provides some screenshots into the code behind this project, and gives examples of the code they are using to make a difference!

Our Results

We show different gas concentration over the Arctic and Antarctica for past one years. Alongside, we show the chlorophyll distribution in the same region during the same time of the year.

Our Goals

Although the Hackathon is over after 48 hours, Team Chlorophyll has only just begun.

The Data

For the future, Team Chlorophyll would like to aim to find more datasets relating to effects that climate change may have on the World's oceans. This may include data relating from checmical levels to species populations.
With this tentative data we would like to continue to use data science related models such as solving regressions to try and find trends that may result in strong correlations.

The Dashboard

As far as the website goes, we would like to expand it out quite a bit. We believe that adding more interactive components may be key in the engagement of users. This may include:
This webpage is truly just a prototype of where we want this to go, the end goal being a fully interactive dashboard!

The Audience

It is also important to spread this data! We wish to share our findings with great masses of people, ranging from researchers to fisheries; anyone who is interested in the ocean and all of its greatness!
Lastly, we want to stay dedicated to the fight against climate change and global warming, and continue to use the data to make a difference.

Our Thanks

On behalf of Team Chlorophyll, we would like to close this by thanking everyone involved in running the Hackathon this weekend.
We've learning a ton about data and the environment, and felt that this project was an amazing opportunity to be apart of!
We are very grateful for everyone who was involved, and hope to be able to participate in the next one. Thank you.
